Synchronous Thermal Analyzer Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer GA-STA200
Overview
GA-STA200 synchronous thermal analyzer is an instrument that can provide TG and DSC signals simultaneously. It is a combination of TG and DTA or differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
TGA is a technology to measure the relationship between the mass and temperature of a substance under programmed temperature. When a substance is heated, physical and chemical changes will occur, and the mass will change accordingly.
The test process is accompanied by thermal effects, namely, exothermic and endothermic phenomena, which reflect the change of enthalpy (DSC).
DSC is used to measure the temperature difference between the sample and the reference substance as a function of temperature or time under the same heating condition.
GA-STA200 synchronous thermal analyzer is an instrument that comprehensively studies the functional relationship between the above changes.
About DSC:
Put the sample and the reference into a crucible respectively, and heat them in a furnace according to a predetermined program to change the temperature of the sample and the reference. If the heat capacity of the reference substance and the sample is the same, and the sample has no thermal effect, the temperature difference between them is almost "zero", and then a smooth curve is obtained. With the increase of temperature, the sample produced thermal effect, but the reference did not. There is a temperature difference between them, which is shown as a peak in DSC curve. The larger the temperature difference, the larger the peak, and the more times the temperature difference changes, the more the number of peaks. The peak with upward peak is called exothermic peak, and the peak with downward peak is called endothermic peak.
Important: When the experimental temperature exceeds 600℃ , aluminum crucible cannot be used, and melting of aluminum crucible will damage the instrument components.
